I told them that if I was going to follow their advice, then I wouldn't be protected by the FSA (Financial Services Authority). Sent a text message first, saying they were from BT and would give me a call. The caller had a strong indian accent, and informed that my internet had been compromised, possibly by overseas third parties. asked me to go through various tests ie logging onto my tesco account, and checking my bank statements. When i refused to do so, the caller got a little shirty, asking what was the basis for this? Then threatened to disconnect my line. when I told her she couldn't do that, as my bills were paid regularly
