Two phone number associated with the same email address responded to a gumtree advert I have running. In addition to this number +44 114 359 9246 is being used (Aug 2017). Replying I received a paypal scam email wanting to pay asking price and arrange a pick up from a service.

They said they were called First Solutions. They mentioned a credit card, interest paid and PPI. I then asked not to continue with the call and asked to be taken off the mailing list. It is the number WhatsApp uses for certification and it is also useful if you need to reinstall the app or change phone. It happens that someone try with a random number to install a second copy of the app on another device. They phoned me relatively early, I didn’t pick up at all, seeing as I didn’t recognize the number. They left a voicemail, claiming to be phoning a guy called Nathan who was late to work and wanting him to phone back. I got the feeling it was probably a scam, I’ve just blocked them instantly to be safe.
