SCAM Message/text sent to my smartphone, contents of text was a Halifax Alert saying I had created a new payee today 28/01 at 12.05pm.If you do not recognise this visit go to a site using the link supplied which was https newpayeealert.live DON'T OPEN LINK Dangerous SCAM, they want access to your account. Must use auto trawlers to get mobile phone numbers and hope some number they text the user has a Halifax account, probably use other Bank and Building Society names.

I doubt that very much, also pet peeve but called me by my first name which suggests they have more information than I would care to give.I had to stop his spiel to ask him to remove my information which he couldn t do so I ve hung up. Really bad accent,hard to understand and rude. Hate these calls.

I got a message from this number saying HMRC owed me £300. I assume this is a scam as HMRC does not work this way. Have reported it to Action Fraud.
Call centre claiming my amazon prime has been renewed and I was being charged unless I cancel it through their agent. I definitely haven't got prime so hung up on them. Possibly wanted account details?

Man called with bad english telling me they do data collection I was asking where they got my details from, they already had my name and surname and were asking questions such as, what brand my TV is and if I have a sky satellite dish. And when we were having our tea, the house rang with this number and when we didn t answer it the mobile rang....this makes you think it is an urgent call???!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS! Your internet and phone line are fine...there isn t a problem with it at all. It s just these thieving bastatds trying to relieve you of your cash...they get abusive when challenged..
