Very suspicious callers. Claiming to be a Pensions firm asking for personal details including even your Nat Ins number which I did not divulge to them. Their response was to say "we cannot proceed any further without this". They do have English accents. My suspicions are confirmed when I try to call back on this number - phone just goes dead. If these people are not scammers - they do a very good impression of scammers.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. A man said "Yeahhh man I m from Microsoft". He told me my windows update wasn t working " at that point I told him I worked in IT and I know what i m doing and hung up. Do not let these people access your computer.

Female caller asked for myself by name before stating: "We believe you are owed some compensation" and offering to send out a form to make a claim. When she wanted to confirm address (which is no longer current) told not interested with request to remove number from their database.

This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.
