This was someone pretending to want to renew insurance on the washing machine that they claimed was in my wife's name.
Think it's a scam-called back after getting a call re an overseas payment from an account-asked who they were and phone was put down.
The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. SCAM: same area in Manchester from which several similar phone numbers come from. Only lets your phone ring for a short time and never leave a message. Don't call back unless you are looking for trouble! Thank goodness for answer phones and caller ID.

Im from Sweden and live here. I recently got a call from this phonenr. I asked who it was and she said her name was Martina. Its not the first time I have getting calls from UK, but when I answered the other times it was just silent, then they hang up on me. So I suspect this is a fraud. Really annoying aswell. And I dont know how they got my number, cause its not registered anywere.
