Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. Other numbers that called to same extent were 01330 560922 and 01689 814765, both equally as perplexing.
this is a SCAM, they call disguised as a debt collector via a mobile saying you owe money for a High Court Writ and they will call at a given time so its best you pay immediatley. Its a scam.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!
Safe number . Company called STABIMOC calling about a form you filled in about bullying and if you can answer a couple of further questions. If not then they simply say ok and let you hang up with out hassling you. Great company

Well spoken female called back after getting cut off. Said they checked my fuse box ten years ago and wanted to do another free check. Asked me to go to the fuse box. I said it was difficult to reach and it was a consumer unit with circuit breakers. She said in that case no need for a check. Obviously if they'd checked ten years ago they would know what equipment I had. Why I continued to engage with her was we had circuit breakers changed by the makers of the consumer unit as they had found quality issues.
I had two texts from this number saying it was from Royal Mail and asking for money to deliver my parcel.

SCAM - Pretending to be Microsoft and they download Anydesk on your PC, run some commands and show you the "threats" on your PC. They then run something that shows banking details and they direct you to go to your online banking so they can assist in fixing your security with your banking. (I am in IT and an elderly customer got tricked by this).
01376 333376 - This is the number for F R Shadbolt and Sons Ltd, they're based in Braintree and make doors they have a whopping pension deficit hidden away in the notes of their accounts so unless they're asking for money to help I don't think there's much to worry about!
