Disgusting people called my elderly mother saying he was a solicitor and claimed I was in an accident. If I had been there would have asked for co name & number to report but was not possible. Why is the onus on victims to trace & report these lawbreaking companies & their abusive staff?

These type of companies work from a dialling system where numbers are selected at random. They say they are calling about a recent accident on the off chance that the 1 in a million (slightly exaggerated) people they call say they have been in one. I like to have fun with these people and keep them on the phone asking lots of questions thinking they have secured me.......but if they get me on a bad day then they get a lot of abuse. A muffled caller stating that a large sum of money had been removed from bank account and forwarded abroad - claimed to be the bank !

this number has been calling me several times per day for around 2 weeks, when I answered it was a telemarketing company telling me I had been involved in an accident (I haven t) when I responded with "well you know more about this than I do" the caller hung up and didn t call again so I will definitely be using that tactic in the future
