The "Do Not Call List" is only effective against legal firms that have a legal footprint where they can be prosecuted. "The Caller Id" means nothing because they can type in anything they want, for ant or every phone call, so there s no legal significants to it. They are so illegal they don t care about anything you have to say. They only value info they can use to access accounts with money in them. Or scare you or your relatives into sending them money. told me I had won a prize then went on to ask for personal details. I was waiting for call from local doctors clinic which has 0845 number, so was the only reason I answered. Number now blocked.

Said they were calling from Domestic and General - a company we do have an account with already. Said we were a valued customer and had qualified for a discount. Said we were already covered for our TV Satellite equipment etc. We knew this was incorrect. They said we were already paying £10 by DD. Not True. Only know the number because I was randomly charged ?99.99 !! Which is the first random I ve ever encountered while Internet /phone shopping I did receive a random info booklet on holidays a few months / lots of weeks before anyway this number was attached to the payment from my account the only thing I can suggest is to report the company to whomever and to contact your bank stating that a fraudulent company has your card details if you do recieve a catalog from them. Saying that there was no other warning

Have been receiving from this number every 2 to 3 days - they are pests - have installed a Call blacklist app for my mobile - works well

Received a call, but they hung up within a few seconds of me answering and without saying anything. I called the number back but the call was answered and immediately hung up.

Asian male who said he was called Eric Lawson and my windows computer had been hacked - I told him I would report this to the Police direct, but he kept on, wanted me to log on PC - no chance- asked for the company name , tel. No , reg. Company no. He gave me an address in Leicester, despite ringing from Bath! And gave me a toll free (American term) number. Hung up.....

Persistant unwanted calls

I keep receiving calls from this number at least 3 times a day. Does anyone have any idea what company this is?

Foreign man claiming to be from Windows. He got stroppy with me when I challenged him about being a scam.

I subscribe to The Economist, and renewed my subscription very late this year, a few days after the expiry. I finally picked up this call after several days and they said they wanted to know if I would renew my Economist subscription. I said that I already had, and they said "Oh, let me check my new system. Oh yes, you have, that s ok then." and that was all. A little odd, but seems like the Economist gives them the opportunity to salvage some lapsed subscriptions.

who called me???

Just got a call from this number. They asked for me by name and then asked me to confirm my washing machine brand. When I said I was not sure they hung up. I am sure they just want to check if the number is real before they sell it on or bombard me with other unwanted calls. They obviously did not check on the preferences list which I have contacted to make sure that these calls do not happen. Waste of time.

This, St Helens number, is not known to us. Caller left no message. Spam?
