This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range... People did someone answer this number?

Automated call - Didn't answer, then got a 5s voicemail of a Liverpool accent (phone had auto-identified dialling code as Liverpool) saying "ah right, OK, well we'll take you off our list then". I suspect this was an automated response after my voicemail "answered" to say not available, leave your message etc. and voicemail recorded tail end of the response. Crafty.
This number keeps calling my landline but I never answer. I've had my BB with Plusnet for years and this has only been recent, so I doubt it's actually them.

This number called me today saying they were from Amazon when I thought it was a scam call I hung up and blocked it, it then rang twice more from different numbers which I also blocked, it hasn't called since so I now know it was a scam call so beware.

Silent call. “I’ve had several phone numbers repeatedly call me, when I have said hello - an automated voice message says”, your internet provider has been trying to contact you. Your internet supply will be disconnected in 24 hours due to inactivity, to speak to ‘someone’ press 1, to speak to the technical team please hold. “I end the call, I will not press 1 or hold any longer, my internet provider has not tried to make contact with me, There are No problems re: my internet so IT’S OBVIOUS SCAM ATTEMPTS!”
It s a shame Ofcom don t prevent sham set ups like these day light robbers from operating. They wanted to refund me without knowing my name, what a load of garbage!
