This number range is allocated to Core Telecom we allocate numbers responsibly within the ofcom regulations. The call to cost this number is 30p per call. Mobile networks may charge higher but that is not within our control. The number is not text enabled so therefore there should be no charge for texting. Company called "Pension report team" wanting to know if I had a frozen pension. Not only did I not acknowledge my name when they rang but I immediately launched into an attack on them. Told them they were a scam company and on the FCA blacklist, at which point the caller said he would remove me from their call list and hung up. Don t be afraid to attack them first!

It is a scam - no subscriber number on that exchange can begin with a 1 after the area code.
TJ, harassment laws apply after only TWO calls. Thus there are grounds to apply the Protection from Harassment Act of 1997 in this case.

Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.

Apparently I ve been involved in a car accident that wasn t my fault, which is news to me. So naturally I decided to wind them up and be overly dramatic without ever answering a question properly. It worked like a treat and they hung up.
RECORDED MESSAGE TO INFORM ME MY CARD HAS BEEN USED FOR AMAZON £300 AND AN INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION £1100 Obviously there was 2 options press 1 to verify transactions were OK, Press 2 to speak to an operator. I went for option 3 and just hung up.
