The person he asked to speak to, Ben , does not exist on my number or at my address and I have been plagued with calls lately from some company claiming to be something to do with the Office of Fair Trading, who also always asks for Ben , but they have the sense to block their number. SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. We always let numbers like this go to answerphone. They always hang-up without a message. Calling several times a day at present - at least they don t hide the phone number. At least they could state their name and purpose, you say it is TalkTalk Marketing. I decide if I want to buy anything and try to avoid these types of call.
