Yesterday I had a phone call from someone claiming g to be from the Crime Prevent Unit. He told me had been given my details by Building gas Control at Broadland Council. He asked me if I traded from my address and I said yes. His next question was "is your business doing well?" As I told him I could see no reason to give him that information he muttered something under his breath and hung up. This a scam of some sort and I wish I'd kept him on the line longer to find out but people beware!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1792917xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims (also reclaim money from holidays) / insurance marketing / energy schemes.
