Silent call, hanged up as soon as I picked up

Some "fik" (thick) sounding muppet rang asking for my Missus, when I said "No", phone went dead. Rang number back and after a few rings it went dead.

A scummy telesales company. They are a legal claims company trawling for business for people whose hearing has been damaged by working in noisy environments. It appears they may have had their database supplied by "Perfect Preferences", but in any event they ignore the TPS database, and as such their cold calls are ILLEGAL.

A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. The annoying thing is that I m on the Telephone Preference List of people who should *NOT* be contacted by telemarketers. Unfortunately, it doesn t seem to have worked in this case. Claim to represent Aqua then tell you they have brought your debt from Aqua. Simply tell them to return your account to Aqua, then do not deal with them anymore.

Very persistent if they don t get a response. Try to call at all times of the day,evening and weekends. Either block the number, or answer to get rid of them. If you don t the phone will keep ringing. I have a truecall unit (from www truecall. co uk) so these harrassers simply get a messsage not to call again. Shouldnt have to pay money to stop these calls though in my opinion.

Had a dozen or more phone calls today. Rang back, got message "your call is important to us, please hold the line for one of our agents" then line goes silent and wait...

These people ring every day. They ask for someone who doesn t live here. When I became annoyed with this, they obviously made a note somewhere and now ask for the person who is in charge of the phone bill. Very very annoying and won t stop talking even when you say you don t want to talk to them, so you have to just put the phone down while they are talking.

This is one of those you ve been in a traffic accident, correct? type of scams. Don t answer.
