This number rings my phone repeatedly 4 or 5 times a day. I don t answer as I only answer callers I know. Who are these people they are now driving me mad.
Had an automated call saying £600 had been paid on a Visa or Mastercard to a foreign country. Press 1 to stop this transaction. No details such as my name or account details so scam call.
Strange this number called me around 17:00 on 21march 17 but hung up before I could answer will wait and see if it rings again I am not going to waste money calling unknown numb...

I have been receiving several calls a week from this number to my mobile phone, home number and office number. They either say they are from "Trading Banks" or a market research company in Taiwan. Either way, you know it s a scam. I like to have fun with them. They have all been Filipino until today where the caller was of African descent. This is a scam number pretending to be from the "ONS" (Office of National Statistics) for a telephone interview following on from the National Census form completion. It was from a letter from the so called ONS but the phone number was written by hand. The letter also contained genuine numbers for the ONS to give it a realistic authenticity. They try to get you to pay a fine/ empty your bank account.

Called about paying me compensation for a motor accident which I have not had.
Pre-recorded message claiming to be from BT but not sure why a British company would use someone ( or voice generation software) with a mid-Atlantic accent to deliver a message to a UK-based customer. Some rubbish about disconnecting my Internet if I don t follow instructions which, undoubtedly, would involve me in racking-up a huge phone bill, i.e. if press either 1 or 2 as instructed. I hung-up. A variation on the SCAM calls from India about problems with internet account.

I wish they would leave a voicemail message when they ring. I just missed their call and as there was no message I assumed it was a scam call. we get a lot and would never ring the number back unless there was a message left saying who it was and why they were ringing. but I would ring 150 from the landline if I'd known it was virgin regarding my problem. only trouble is that you can be waiting for over an hour before you get an answer! not happy with virgin at all.

Claiming to be BT, saying getting reports that my router/internet speed is not as it should be. Spoken English with strong foreign accent.....said something very garbled and fast followed by OK Repeated, when I told him I had not been able to understand what he was saying. Same thing happened on 2nd time of not understanding.....but this time he hung up. Suspect not BT at all.
