I asked them how could they know I had had an accident when they didn t even know who was calling them at this moment (hadn t given my name!). They hung up on me! Call centre stating that I may be eligible for loft insulation / help with my heating bills under a new government scheme. Caller went on to ask if I was a home owner and if I worked full time or if I was entitled to any tax credits and whether my heating was mains fed or fuel. When I stated that my house was mains fed I was advised that I don't qualify. The call ended.

Call came approx. 3 hours after one from 01247 896583 which research suggested SCAM was from people purporting to be from BT.01495 No was a pattern so I picked up and blew my trusted whistle down the phone. Magic! They won t ring again.

This is a spam call from people purporting to be from BT Openreach advising there is a problem with my broadband connection. This is the fourth call I've had in a fortnight, all from different numbers, all callers with strong Asian accent and totally unable to deviate from the script they have in front of them.
