A Google search suggests that the number, if genuine, belongs to a company called Steel Plus 1, based in Romford, Essex.

I received the call but was too slow to speak to the sender. I tried ringing back but was told that the mail box was full. I guess this is a scam number.

Search for RK Legal 01618149349, What they do is spoof your local prefix to make you more likely to answer! Same old s**m, same old scam!

I ve received about 8 calls from this number in the last week. When I answer, I can hear what sounds like Call Centre noise, but no person talking to me. After a few seconds they hang up. Not worried or frightened, just a bit miffed that they won t have a conversation with me. We re not really allowed to speak with other adults on my high security wing and by constantly calling me, there s a risk that my handset will be discovered. Spam call, claiming to be from BT and saying hackers have got into your computer but BT will help you to sort it out. If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.

They're using recorded messages now to bug people because even THEY can't be bothered to to speak to people anymore, and yet WE are supposed to be interested!!!
