Continuous calls for about 5 days. Took it eventually and introduced themselves as CPR Marketing Solutions Wanted a rep to come and talk to me about my pension provision which I agreed. Got a call from this number stating that it is an investment company and they had my details (phone number, full names and surname, an investment account number, and my credit card number. We have been called from this number by somebody claiming to be from British Gas, about an outstanding invoice. As out invoices are regularly paid on time, this is a scam to try and get card details for payment.

Accident scam call
These people repeatedly call phishing for information stating that they are calling about a car accident. Maybe some poor souls they call talk about an accident they may/ may not have had and pass on personal details. It appears to be a scam and the only way to avoid them calling is to block their number. They called my number >10 times over past 6 months and have never taken it off their system. FYI I was never in a car accident.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)
