The number is likely to belong to Aberystwyth Wales, but I feel the calls just as annoying and will ignore them in the future.

I had this number, and all i do is turn my landline on silent and only use it as a one way call, and if someone gives you a rough time of calling you, you will see the light go on when they are calling or use the landline as a one way, calling out and your mobile to take calls, you can get phones that block numbers, and only let the ones you want through. They pretend to be from talktalk or BT and tell you that your computer has a virus and they need to download remote control software so they can fix it. In reality they are going to try and steal your bank and credit card details.

have jut read the comments on this and am uncertain whether it is genuine as there is conflicting opinions expressed.

Called just before 11AM on Wednesday. Absolutely standard automated-female "Amazon" scam, telling me that my Prime charge of seventy-something Pounds is being renewed...

This number rang my home phone then when it went to answer machine they tried twice to put in a code to access my messages.

This number is on a list of "available" SIM numbers on a Vietnamese web site. It would appear to be very suspicious and best avoided.
