This is the third telephone call I have had today from different numbers saying that my Amazon Account is about to be charged for renewal unless I press 1. I don't have such an account, so I rang off immediately.

Not a bloody clue who this is from.... But I'm getting extra charges of £1.25 text from that number every couple of days, Probably spam I've no idea.
I ve been getting calls from these scammers for close on 6 months now, quite often twice a day. I tried reporting them to BT s nuisance call bureau and they tried to sell me a phone that block international calls!!! It s strange how BT outsources a lot of it s services to India , (BT customer services, etc) and the scamming calls are also coming from India? I ve even had one of these scammers say he was with BT Internet, instead of the usual "I m from Windows services" or "I m from Microsoft Windows service

Called yesterday 19Aug by a women with a very strong Asian accent. She wanted me to turn on my computer as BT had requested her to help me with my router, that was showing a fault, and she could talk me through the repair. Apparently an energy company, trying to arrange a survey for new loft insulation. As soon as they realised I fell outside their target age bracket of 50-80 or 80+ they hung up.
