Person calling himself Matthew Taylor rang to speak to my husband allegedly regarding shares my husband has with BP Chemicals. My husband retired from BP many years ago but does hold shares with BP. On overhearing the conversation I warned my husband not to give too many details to this Matthew Taylor and he advised Mr Taylor that he was not interested in the scheme he was proposing. PPI nuisance call. When I told the guy I'd never had ppi (which is true) he started giving attitude, and not in as many words but basically accused me of lying.

Automated voice that said they were some crime division and that my national insurance number would be suspended. Hung up at this point.

Fraud

The caller said they had an accident claim of a four figure sum for me. They asked if I had had an accident at home or work. I have not and told them so, they said they would update their details. This is clearly a scam using real people to call!

This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the

They hang up after almost 4min of asking why would you be calling me and not my bank. Very high chance that its fraud/scam
