claimed to be an automated call from Amazon regarding an order placed for £1499. Odd because i ordered the day before for an item £14.99. Decided to disregard

Almost certainly a scammer. These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Block the number if you have the facility.

Getting several calls a day from this number which will not respond (number not known) when called back. I have a hardware blocking device which stops unwanted calls from ringing but they show on the call register nonetheless.

Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. Irish guy who was clearly reading what he was saying, and other voices in the background making similar calls.

I know no one in Bishops Stortford and this call came on my mobile??

04 Nov 2021 - Recd call on my mobile supposedly from Royal Mail, when I called them out and said I don't believe them and they are a scammer. He called me a [email protected]#T and I hung up.Reply
