This is a fck scam,they ask for money to be transferred by for some service then vanish.
This is a new, and weird, one for me. Called my landline but disconnected when I picked up (now they know this is a live number,,,damn!!). No message left so I'll never know if I have been left millions of pounds from an unknown benefactor who needs me to handle his money, for a small fee, to help them evade paying local taxes or being claimed by a fictional Government department.

***Fraud*** Asian runt called saying they were Carphone Warehouse with offers for EE, O2, Vodafone and Three. Told the runt that I work for Carphone Warehouse and we no longer offer EE, O2 or Three (haven't offered Three since around 2010!!). Also told the runt that Carphone Warehouse no longer exists - surprise surprise the runt hung up!! Do NOT answer!!
Seems to be a scam reporting to be from revenue and customs advising that a claim has been made. You are then required to press a number to get through to an officer. You will more than likely be charged. Be aware!

Had a liverpudlian girl called Lucy call me just from 01704222222, said she was calling from Alderley Assist, got the usual call centre spiel, had my name on file which I confirmed. Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident.
