Knew it was a scam because I didnt recognize the number so didn t answer, it went to answer phone and they didn t leave a message.

SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)
It said from BT call from London, but clearly it’s not the London number. It’s a scammer, they want you to link your computer PC, and they can gets your information from there. Very smart arsehole, be careful!

i was called by this number and given an email address concrening work related issues and found the email address to be bogus
SCAM Call centre. Numerous calls to say he (Foreign accent called “Oliver”) works for government to claim back fees overcharged. Demanded £130 for a Pay Sure (credit) card for me to pay tax man his cut! Refused to do it. Now saying charging for my cancellation!! Just called us twice and hung when we answered.
Claimed to be from Amazon, saying that someone had placed a £~2K order on my account and I had to push 1 or 2 to resolve the issue. Checked my account, no such order. Phoned back, got some poor woman who was at a beauty appointment. Someone is managing to get around fraud prevention by spoofing the number sources.
