Said that the latest Windows update had downloaded incorrectly meaning that people could access my computer and so could I please get my computer out for them to talk me through what to do. I've heard of this scam where they will pretend to help but really talk you through downloading something which will allow them to access your computer. I blocked the number when the call ended. This number keeps ringing. No idea why. My young daughter answered today and didn t catch what the man said, so she said "excuse me?" To which he replied "it s pardon me"!!. When she asked who was calling, he asked who she was. It must have been clear he was talking to a child so this was totally unacceptable! My daughter was quite upset by his rudeness. These cold calls are getting worse and worse!

I received another call from this number today. The caller introduced himself as "Drew from the Energy Care Department of the Green Energy Company". He also said he was working on behalf of some governement initiative. When I asked him how he got the number, he was evasive at first but once he realised that I wasn t going to cave, he just hung up.

He said there seems to be some fraudulant activity on my account and I should move all my money into the main account and then he would change all my account numbers and sort codes He sent messages from 08000 123 123 and he confirmed Santander will always use this number as it uses the 123 from their 123 account. Remember: Your bank will never ask you to move money!
