Received texts saying an engineer was coming to install broadband, had no idea what was going on. Had text from Royal Mail saying they had delivered equipment. Then had an engineer text to say he was coming! Found out he was going to a different address. Possibly a genuine error? Nothing bad has happened but annoying.

SCAM - a man with a accent asked my for 30seconds of my time, i asked who he was and what he wanted he gave me all my details and phone number and aske me to confirm which i said no, i asked him to remove me from the mailing list he said no, i told him i didn't want anymore phone calls and why couldn't he remove me, he said i can't tell you !! I told him he was disgusting being a scammer and he hung up, i have blocked the number !
Claimed to be my local energy advisor, for once they are local to me. Asked if I was the homeowner, when asked where he got the information from, said there was a data base of all work carried out at this address. If there is then I did not authorise my data being entered or used. GDPR? Suspect they wanted to carry out an "energy survey" and would come up with a very expensive improvement package, which probably would not be needed.
Left me a voicemail about an insurance claim?
Somebody emailed me asking me to call them on this number saying they were at one of my addresses in London but couldn't gain access to the property to read a gas meter. On tracking the number it showed up as being in Manchester so nowhere near London anyway and I actually do not have any properties in London so I suspect a spam email to get me to call this telephone number.

SCAM. The source of this call is in Russia and was a text message purportedly from a Hermes a delivery company and saying that they were unable to deliver an item. To get it delivered to reply. Had a call asking for me by name, said that they had got my PPI back for me. They know the bank that I had dealt & asked if I had a account with them now, told them no had new one, they asked which, I told them the first one that came into my head. Asked what type I said saving one, asked about insurance, said don t want any. They put phone done.
SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. We're now completely skint and can't afford to pay the wages. Been doing some investigating and his name is Tyrell, apparently. Fuck you Tyrel

Following a search on GoCompare your details are passed to these guys who call offering a better quote and ask you to hold the line while they transfer you to another company who has no idea who you are. I guess they get kick backs for getting you there.
Another one added to the blocked list. These calls are from outside the UK but caller display looks like a UK number. We have had 30 such calls in the last 2 weeks all different...

SCAM - Claiming I ordered an iPhone 13 through Amazon, decided to play along. He requested that I put him on speaker phone so he could run through filling a form in. Asked for him to send it through email, he said I (as in myself) am not authorised for email, whatever that means. I queried again that I assume I will be notified through email, and for some reason continued to state I am not authorised. I can't believe the guy actually thought I would enter a random URL in to fill in a form, must be nuts!
