Rang twice today . First time I didn`t answer as I didn`t recognise the number. Second time picked up phone but didn`t say anything and they rang off.

Fraud suspected,claims to be Virgin Media, did not try to verify any personal details or account details. Wants the IP address that they are supplying to me, at which point I ended call. Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!

I rang back and the company refused to accept my call on the basis that I withheld my number - obviously whoever it is has something to hide.

Called twice in 5 minutes, no message left

When answered a girl spoke and said she was calling about an accident I had. Obviously a student trying to make some extra cash. She certainly has not been reading the news about big fines for cold calling!!!

Cold calls from discount insurance. Told the caller to remove my number from their database and that i?m registered with tps. No further calls ?til now - looks like it worked...
