SCAM: Received a text to my mobile , supposedly from MY BRITISH GAS saying ' We were unable to accept your amount due, visit mybritishgas-uk.com to update'. Looked it up online, as I'm NOT with British Gas, and yes, it's a phishing text to get your bank details. Apparently the site it leads to is very realistic, and people have been caught out. Seems there is an email version too. Number blocked!

This number just keeps on calling. Nobody there when you answer it phone hangs up. I guess they are just trying to find out when you are available to answer the phone and then letting companies know. BLOCK IT.

Very persistent gent - Jerry Edwards - who, when I insisted, gave me Microsoft Manchester s address and phone number. His number withheld. Government call re@ my NI number - threatening me with arrest if I didn't push button 1 and talk to an officer. I'm to be arrested in 2hrs! It is frightening for me although I'm aware it is a scam. This is the 2nd call of this nature this week, the first from a different number. I will soon have more blocked numbers than contacts!
