They are now calling 3 or 4 times a day. I have only answered once and there was just silence.
Some kind of telemarketing scam. Answered to silence, when they finally picked up it was clear form the background noise it was a call center of some kind... And they got my name wrong so its clear they d bought my details from somewhere else and copied them wrong. They claimed I d answered a survey recently, which I have not, and asked if I d do one again. Defiantely scammers of some kind.

I have managed to confirm that calls from this number are from a company debt management company called Stephenson Drake (www.stevensondrake.com. They operate by automated cold calling your number. You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. To everyone that has lost money to these scammers I would ask you to get in touch with your local Trading Standards Officer, then apply to the Small Claims Court (it only costs £25.00 Online, which will be refunded to you.)
