calling me non stop it drives me crazy but not answering

rang me trying to sell insurance!!

I am being bombarded with insurance claims calls at the moment to my mobile phone that I use for business calls. This number has rung me twice, 1 week apart and nobody has been on the end of the line. TPS have registered my number so I should not be getting silent calls.

I subscribe to The Economist, and renewed my subscription very late this year, a few days after the expiry. I finally picked up this call after several days and they said they wanted to know if I would renew my Economist subscription. I said that I already had, and they said "Oh, let me check my new system. Oh yes, you have, that s ok then." and that was all. A little odd, but seems like the Economist gives them the opportunity to salvage some lapsed subscriptions.

Called my landline, by the time I got to the phone to answer it they had hung up.

Obtained my details inc address following a small car accident. Gave me some story about the other guy putting in a claim for whiplash and said I could also claim. I told them ( after a fair few discussions) that I simply had no claim to make whatsoever. When I was put through to a "Senior Claims Manager" I told him the same. Exact same thing just happened to me. Although my name and number were correct,the address she said I had never heard of. All a bit odd.

rec'd call 01/12/15 the line was silent for about 10 secs, then I disconnected.

Caller hung up when I tried to verify who they were. The phone number is listed by Ofcom as not valid, so must be criminals.
