SCAM/PHISHING? Foreign sounding man calling himself ‘Kevin’ from the ‘Post Code Lottery’ said that I had been picked to win a ‘gift card’ that would give me 40% off ANY supermarket shop. I said I hadn’t entered any competition, but he just carried on talking. He knew my name/surname, and asked my age. Refused to tell him. He was persistent & asked again. I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam.
