Seems to be some foreign call centre, mostly using robocalls or silent/cold calls. Block it, nuisance in most cases.

As above I also received a pop up message requesting that I call apple support as illegal activity was detected.. stupid twit I am called it as the message wouldn't disappear therefore blocking safari.. I was then told by some Indian d*ck head to pay £117 or my handset will be blocked.. my response was blunt and said I wasn't being ripped off by the cunts. Called wanting to know about my insurance policies. They said that they could offer me better policies. I just said that I am happy with what I have got and put the phone down.

This number is connected to a computer security con – ignore and block. The Company name they give is non-existent – Web Security Global. I was almost caught completely with this scam. I have been having problems with my internet speeds recently so believed them. Stupidly I did some of the things they asked me to check the speeds. Got suspicious when they asked me to submit me internet details in order to get the compensation that they claim I was owed. Also my mouse pointer started moving of own accord, which gave suspicion that they had control of my computer. I have changed some passwords as a precaution but thankfully they were not succes
