Scam HMRC tax rebate due to Covid. HMRC do not have my phone number so quite obvious. Avoid anything referring to Covid unless you know for absolute certain it is genuine. Also, remember Covid jabs are FREE. Dump anything that appears to ask for payment or similar details.

The ask me if I have had any PPI in the past, they go on and on, then when I finally convince them that I dont, they then ask if I would be interested in wiping off 70% of my debts! Again, when I say no, they persist until I get rude with them. Fraud - automated call saying it was my bank (didn't say which bank!!!) detailed two transactions it said was made this morning one to Amazon and one a transfer abroad. Asked me to press 1 to cancel transactions or 2 to authorize. I'm guessing that this would then take me to a premium line number or someone asking for my details. I just hung up of course. The scary thing is that it showed as coming from a local dialing code or I wouldn't have answered it.

I ALWAYS report EVERY Scam e mail and phone call to every agency who covers this-YET they continue! Interesting many mention Curry’s-Inundated for YEARS with fake curry’s and other services e mails.Plus piggy backing my e mail contacts falsely to try and get me to click on links. YET F*** all done to apprehend them and STOP this outdated practice

SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. SPAM A similar number called me earlier twice today (07834 247675). This number has just called me (07834 241177) using a recorded message, claiming to be from the Department of Work and Pensions, to say that my National Insurance Contributions have been suspended.
