This landline from London area is used by call center working for non-profit organisations, mostly connected with Amnesty International, British legion etc. but can be used for different organisations. My daughter got stung for £55 for a call to HMRC. Its clearly not the HMRC they would never be allowed to charge extortionate telephone rates and I've phoned them on a number of occasions without charge. I suspect its a scam number that then redirects to the HMRC. DO NOT PHONE THEM - look on your last tax bill as the HMRC website doesn't make it easy to find a number to call.
