TAXES / HMRC Automated voice telling me a tax fraud case was being raised against me and I must press 1. Hung up and blocked the number. Checked with HMRC and they confirmed it was a scam.

just got a call from this number, but did not answer. A search reveals it is one of those Pretending to be from Microsoft and there is a problem with Windows scams. Do not answer!

Guyz thanks for these comments about digital seo and other scamers I had the same but I was clever enough to do research about these companies who offered me a £13.50 job without speaking to me once. (: ian davice sent me the contract and I spoted straight away that who in this world offers a job like that and says its so easy and we will pay u that much jokes.... Stay away from thesw scams... Spoke to a lady who informed me that I had popped up on their system as being owed money regarding PPI. She didn't skip a beat before moving straight on to ask if I had had been in any debt management plans or made bankrupt etc. Explained that I was not willing to give personal information and that I had already claimed my PPI back. She asked if I had received less than £1200 as that would be why I had appeared on their system. I informed her that we both knew that was rubbish and just marketing spiel

The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.
