14th Feb 2024 at 1148 - Call claiming that our loft insulation was reaching the end of its warranty life (20 years) and they would like to inspect it - when I told the man that the house was not built 20 years ago and that we did not have a loft, the man rang off immediately.

Tried to pretend he was my son via text message asked me if I could make some payments as bank was frozen and he was stressed out. The grammar and punctuation told me it wasn’t my son as he never uses punctuation. Very dodgy My son and myself are in the UK the map shows this number is Russian origin. Beware

SCAM Woman with strong foreign accent claimed to be from 'BT technical department' (immediately obvious not genuine) and said they had received notifications that my internet was being used by others fraudulently. Pointed out BT not my provider which she ignored, she then tried to guess some letters from my email to 'send me a verification' and when I said that wasn't my email, accused me of lying!!!! Presumably hoping I'd supply my actual email.

Someone called my landline on this number about 0815 this morning and it woke me up! No message left. It is a similar number to a couple of calls I have received this week. The previous callers claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband connection - which there isn’t and I told them so. I'm pretty sure that this is a scam number. It's number called me and told me that there had been a fraudulent charge on my visa number and asked me to dial 1. The number did not ask for my name. The number did not give me any digits from my account numbers. I don't hold a visa card. I did not press one. I hung up immediately. Obvious scam beware!

This is a scam. Automatic woman's voice says your Amazon Prime has expired and to rejoin to pay £95.00 She says to press 1 to rejoin, or 2 for customer services. As I do not use Amazon this made me aware it's a scam and terminated the call and dialled 147 to find this Bournemouth number had registered as the caller.
