Lady calling to offer advertising space in a 'local magazine', they support a cancer charity. Quite polite and not pushy but I wasn't interested.

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. My elderly mother had a call from this number today, lucky I was there and answered. They claimed to be from BT saying that as she has been a long term customer they were going to give her a reduced line rental for three months and free internet access, when I asked how do I know that it is BT, they hung up, called 1471 to get the number but when you phone the number a voice tell you the number is not used

Someone calls from +44 (0)121 687 9722 and tries to get you to say you ve been involved in some car accident that s not your fault. When I have the time, I sometimes say, yes to these calls and then answer with a series of false information, but don t have the time for this one.
