Fraud. Got a text supposedly from GOV.UK with an https// click-in, advising me that they have identified me as being eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy bill support scheme. Mmmm how did they know my number? why didn't I get an official letter/mmmm. No surprise really it's a fraud scam, the government doesn't text you to tell you they are giving you money,and as far as I know will never do this anyway. Why aren't they traced and shut down?

Caller says he's from Carphone Warehouse and they have a deal. I told them I'm not interested and requested to remove my number off their list. I've blocked the number now.
I have never given this land line number out as I rarely use it for telephone calls and already have had scam callers pretending to be from microsoft trying to get me to switch computer on to defraud me.

Supposedly from Microsoft. There was a problem with my hardware/software. They wanted me to turn on my computer and talk them through what was on the screen. Obviously a scam, not sure if it was for money or data, but I continued talking to them without giving any details until I had found my school whistle and then blew it down the phone (loudly) at them. I work in a large infants school, I have a good pair of lungs :-)

Fraud Said she was from RBS and was calling customers for an annual review. She would arrange a time for someone to call and go through everything. She informed me that she could see I had the app and I can contact them if I need to. I never gave out any of my details and banks do not phone from a mobile number.

How would they know I have been in contact with someone with that variant? Expect it is a scam and if I clicked on the link who knows what the result might be. SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.
