Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.
An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This is the third call over the last 10 days, saying the same thing. But I didn't make a note of the number until the third time they called, which was today at 4.30 pm.

Asked for Mrs XXX, based on name in phonebook. Mrs XXX doesn t exist as I, Mr XXX s wife, have never used his surname and we ve used this number for 18 years. Claimed to be from a local building firm calling about our roof. We live in a block of flats. When I challenged caller about our number being registered with TPS he got angry and eventually hung up.

Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. This number called me very early in the morning, then hung up when I answered. Did a 1471, and when I dialled the number back, it cem up as unrecognised. Looked it up onlline, using this website and it came up as Moretonhampstead in Devon. Definitely suspicious.
