Male with Asian accent says he s from UK Helpline , calling my mobile about the "unsecured debt that you have and that you are managing alone, is that correct?" My number is TPS registered. These people have rung from various 016 numbers over the past months, I don t have unsecured debt and have told them to stop ringing, but they don t. Don t seem to have any of my personal information, pure cold nuisance calls.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. I ve received 17 calls in 48 hours, sometimes within minutes of each other! I ve threatened to use another provider which has triggered these calls, but even so, that s ridiculous and they never leave a message. I ve emailed them to tell them I will only converse with them via email as I m sick of being insulted by their foreign call centre workers! Pain in the ****, looks like some other lucky ISP is about to get my business!!!

As I did not recognise this number, I did not answer it.

Just received a call from this number and an Asian sounding guy told me I had overpaid on my loan and could claim compensation (I ve never had a loan) when i told him this and asked to be removed from their calling list I was told to "f### off". Not a happy bunny.
