It s an Umbrella Payroll Company for Contractors. I checked out their website as I m unhappy with my current one, and saw the missed call from them (this number), promptly followed by a text message. Googled the missed call number, saw the text 1min later and out 2+2 together.

This number has called my mobile several times this week (office hours)but no messages have been left. I called the number back today and it just went through to call waiting music as if on hold so I hung up immediatly. Had over ?3 on my my pay as you go phone but after ringing this number my credit had gone down to ?1.11. DON T TRUST THIS NUMBER AND DEFINATELY DON T PHONE IT!!

At first I got quite scared when I started getting these calls. I have read a lot about telephone scams where they want to extract your financial data (Net banking PIN, Credit card details etc.) in the name of survey. For this reason I started declining calls from this number. Searching for the owner of this number on the web, I found out that this number belongs to a legitimate lead generation and lifestyle survey company named Simply Outbound. Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).

Says call is coming from Boston!! Maybe it is Anglia water but I will ring them on a free phone number.
