A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. The annoying thing is that I m on the Telephone Preference List of people who should *NOT* be contacted by telemarketers. Unfortunately, it doesn t seem to have worked in this case. Appeared to be usual tele-sales marketing call: answer phone and wait while caller connects to you instead of the dozen or so other numbers he is calling at same time. He eventually says "hello" - I say same and he immediately terminates the call. I suspect I was wrong gender. Just BLOODY RUDE!
