How would they know I have been in contact with someone with that variant? Expect it is a scam and if I clicked on the link who knows what the result might be. SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

These guys are persistent and will call you endlessly, if you have caller display just ignore them, and call bar them if possible.

I was asked about my pension history and whether I had a PIP. If I did the government have announced that I should be able to reclaim over-charging, particularly if my pension pot was more than £10,000. I asked for details of their website and she gave me theirs where there is no reference to this. Also mention gov.co.uk (which is obviously gov.uk) and I can find no reference to what she said. Also nothing on Moneysaving Expert, my go-to place for this type of thing.
A company called from 01325612456 about industrial illnesses. When I asked them not to call me again and to take my number off their database they immediately hungup.

I suspect they are testing numbers to see who answers then possibly sell this data on to other spam callers. Don't bother answering, block number if you can. Reply

SCAM Amazon call. Phoned the number back and it was a private number. Spoke to a lady who it was nothing to do with. Looks like these scammers are now now using peoples private numbers for the id that comes up on the phone.
