this number is pestering me almost daily

Phoned early today. I could barely understand what he was saying, but I gathered he was wanting information about my address. I hung up after saying I refused to give my details to a cold caller. The same number rang back after about two hours, but this time I didn't answer.

Girl with indistinct squeaky voice ... eventually ... poor line but could make out "... accident that was not your fault ..." This came 5 minutes after another "unknown" number that I had just checked on this site and now know know who it was, because I need my tumble dryer fixing before it bursts into flames.

Asked for me just by first name, claimed to be citizens advice new legal team and asked about unsecured debts. Told them I would not disclose any information to them so they hung up.

These people will just not go away. They are trying to get your personal info and they are crap at it. Presumably they are better at paper fraud than they are at acting. I don t know how they make any money but they must do because they keep calling back or maybe they are as stuid as they sound. They sound drunk half the time. Usually they say they are fron Benefits UK and they call using lots of numbers so you can t block them for long.

Scam loan company. Said i had been approved by them for a £5000 loan. All i had to do was pay the first £105 upfront and the funds would be transferred immediatly. The only was they said they could take the payment was from a ukash voucher. Straight away sent alarm bella ringing. I would advise anyone to ignore this number.

Rang after I d been quoted for home insurance. Told him that they were one of the dearest and accepted quote from the AA. Meercat in the post.

Or maybe they just work in the UK? I too didn t get far in the conversation before this actually nice lady hung up. I was also just curious about how they got my number. Easy answer really but hanging up to me was a sign that perhaps they aren t so legitimate. Oh well.

Called and asked about a car accident I d supposedly had - as soon as I asked how they knew I was in an accident, they claimed my details were included on a National register of car accidents . I said this was simply not possible, and demanded to know where they had gotten my contact details from and they hung up immediately. Two weeks later, another call. This time, it took about a min or two to actually hear anyone, after which the same "This is Jane from Seagull Expert Guidance.." starts up and aft

indian sounding lady called today, used my "nickname" that I don t use professionally, said that she was calling from Microsoft and that the technical team had noticed a problem with Windows on my computer. When I said I was an IT graduate with several years of support experience and that her story did not add up, and that she was calling from Watford where Microsoft do not have an office, she strangely put the phone down on me!

Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. He was trying to sell an identity/credit rating protection (Platinum protect plus I believe). He was polite, when I said I wasn t interested he was pleasant. Called me three times in one afternoon, very annoying. I didn’t recognise the number and didn’t answer the calls.

This is a telemarketer.. if you receive this number. It’s very annoying selling insurance

Why has this number been used by a scam operator purporting to be from Amazon?

Calls but hangs up soon as you answer, trace to Mansfield company offering compensation for accident you have had, this is linked to AIPS insurance also under number 01623 65075...

Called me numerous times today, answered once and no one spoke.
