Also received a call to complete an online survey from New Look whilst on the telephone to them trying to sort out lost order.
Called me at 08 42 3rd February 2021. They hung up before I was able get to the telephone . Since I live in the Scottish Highlands I do not know why someone from Chelmsford is calling me. Nuisance.

Scam number impersonating virgin money. I received a text which appeared to be from virgin money “this is your one time passcode to debit your account (amount) to pay (company). I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. "Silent call". However having just had a scam call from 0233322982 and seeing reports from numbers like 02033322972 it seems this is one of a list of numbers used for neferious purposes.
Automated call. Almost convincing there was a human at the other end except for the long pauses between sentences & the inability to engage in conversation when you speak back at it. No doubt it understands Fcuk off as I put the phone down. haha. Blocked for future. Some scam about insulation. .

Recorded message telling me I d been entered from a partner website - no idea which as I d never put my mobile number on a website. Hung up.
Contacted me by a dating app and tried to make me sign up at a very suspicious online trading account platform with 1% reputation, luckily I searched for it before clicking on his link. Very insistant on "always send me a screenshot so I can guide you" and hurrying me up because I am going to miss a trend. Very very suspicious of scam.

A call from Carphone warehouse, using a LOCAL code - ie - 01324 trying to deceive you into thinking it s a local call. You answer, and it s OBVIOUSLY a CALL Centre (by all the noise in the background) and on questioning the guy, is clearly NOT in the Falkirk area. This type of local call is being used more and more.
