I had just made a purchase from Amazon and this person with a very bad line phoned claiming to be from Amazon wanting to check my details. This is the second time it has happened. Amazon do not operate like this. Be on your guard.

Had a call from a guy today asking me about the accident I have had recently. My answer was " *sigh* I have never had an accident" He very quickly hung up on me
DO NOT answer this number it is a FRAUD, it is an automated menacing message demanding you press 1 or you will receive a court summons.
I answered this but no response. When I put the phone(mobile down the phone wouldn t work at all. Completely froze. It wouldn t shut down, reboot. Phone completely inoperable for about a minute. Very scarey, thought I had lost the whole contents. Be very careful. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER!!!

Attempted “Amazon Account” fraud. Called saying a problem with my Amazon account and need bank details to keep the account active.
Left a message on my ansafone claiming to be from Sarah Wilson at HMRC and threatening legal action if I or my solicitor didn t call them back immediately! Called back and spoke to a male with an Asian accent who gave his name as Kevin. He eventually hung up when I insisted on speaking to Sarah Wilson. I called HMRC who confirmed this is not a genuine call from them!
