getting fed up with these nuisance calls all the time so phoned ofcom who are supposed to be the policeman to deal with these calls. to be honest ofcom is about as useful as a fart in a spacesuit. all the lady could tell me was to use call blocking etc. to which i said when these people have 100 s of numbers not much good. told her that ofcom should prove their worth and starting earning their money by doing something about it. but of course they wont because telephone companies will start bleating suppress

This is because your insurer has sold on your contact details to this third party who will try to get you to make accident claims for a cut of the payout. I rang company and they asked if I had the same surname, told them I didn t, they asked if he had ever lived here, then asked for my home phone no. Gave it to her and she said that it had been deleted, I asked if they had my address, lady got very rude and told me not to worry about it anymore and then put the phone down.
