Had a phone number twice from slightly differing numbers but both commencing 07808166. Recorded msg informing me that my NI number has been compromised and to key 1 before legal proceedings are taken against me!!! Needless to say I just hung up - has anyone else received these calls?

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. "Hannah", asking me to confirm if I d been in an accident that wasn t my fault, as her records said I had. Pressed her for where the report came from and she eventually answered with something I can t remember. Continually pressed "her" for the name of the person she was trying to reach, but just kept asking the same question. Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.

Called me at 08 42 3rd February 2021. They hung up before I was able get to the telephone . Since I live in the Scottish Highlands I do not know why someone from Chelmsford is calling me. Nuisance.

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box .
