Got this call today, pension, under 60, £1,000 blad blad blad, total scam and I just hung up, checked the map where the call might come from and it shows a street called Lloyd St. in Manchester, near, in or beside a pub called the Old nags head.

This number called me 4 times in the space of half an hour, but I missed each call. I don't recognise the number.
I received a call from somebody claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. I asked him to send your new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request stating that it was impossible. I told him to call back when he had sent the email. He rang from this number 2 days later and came out with the same nonsense. He said he was Roger. I hung up and complained to SSE.

I had a financial review meeting booked via Cpr. I found the whole process to be very good. The appointment was booked and confirmed by Cpr then the advisor. Will full FCA authorisation. Giving me all the information I needed to check the firm out before the meeting. The advisor has sorted out my old pensions, poor performing investments and sorted out I seriously underinsured, in relation to my mortgage, something I would never have known. Called with a thick asian accent claiming to be Janet from Virgin and calling about an issue with the router. They asked me to tell them the colour on the router and then input a web address. I guessed immediately that this was a scam but decided to lead them on a little. After a couple of minutes 'Janet' realised that I knew this was a scam and launched into a tirade of verbal abuse swearing and threatening to come and stab me before then hanging up!
