Sent me a text saying they have info on how much PPI I am due to but I have never made a claim and never paid PPI

A man claimed he was from a company called "Speed" who rudely demand to know why I hadn t made a claim for the accident I d apparently been in. The last accident I d been involved in was a few years ago and upon hearing me start to explain this he hung up before I finished speaking. This is clearly a scam hoping to either get some personal details to allow them to commit identity fraud or to falsely extract money from me.

We had one of these calls. Found their number - 0161 488 3888. Gave them a call and gave them a piece of my mind! Told them to remove my number immediately which they said they would. We will see!

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. Caller identifies they are from Choice UK but always put the phone down when asked for their head office address. Calls are now twice to three times a day.

If you use an insurance comparison site, they will pass your number on to The Claims Guys, who will pester you with calls about reclaiming PPI payments. Use this number on the comparison site to give them a taste of their own medicine, and prevent them from ringing you.

Annoying and now on my blocked no s list. Tell you what...I finally rang this number - it goes on automatic response BUT select option 2 to remove your number. It had better remove it otherwise I ll select option 1 next time to speak to a representative and give him/her a piece of my mind!
