Indian man asked for me by name and was told I was out. No idea what it was about but presume a scam/phishing call.
This number is from Halifax/Lloyds banking group fraud team. They can stop your card and refund if anything has been taken. I am sure this number is ok. It did start out automated - which made me wary but you get through to a person quickly afterwards. They ran over the acts from law, didnt ask for any pin information and were polite and what youd expect from a bank team. Actually nice to have a bank being proactive in preventing your money being taken.

Scammer. Claimed to be arranging smart meters but seemed to know zero about costs or connection security. Was calling from 02922229992 but claimed she was calling from 08085015200, when challenged she simply said that this was odd and could not explain.

SCAM - "UK Essentials" - sounded like scammers - typical couple of seconds after you say "hello" to respond - and then hung up. Sounded like the man was calling from an Indian call centre with the London number being a spooked number.

I have had numerous calls from this company, finally answered to get them off my back. They claimed the call was to help me claim compo for an accident I had in the last three years as I stated in my insurance application. This is patently not true. They stated I may have ticked this box in error so I checked my proposal document to find this was not the case. Told them their info was inaccurate and needed to be checked properly before stating I wanted no further contact from this number, lets wait and see
